Arboricultural Assessments and Tree Surveys

Landscape By Design (LBD) have carried out many tree surveys for Local Authorities and Private Clients. This allows for greater co-ordination between existing site features and the Architectural and Landscape proposals to meet the requirements of the Planning Authority and BS5837 (2005).

The following components form part of BS5837.
• Arboricultural Surveys to BS5837 (2005).
• Tree Constraints Plans.
• Arboricultural Implications Assessments.
• Arboricultural Method Statements.
• Tree Protection Plans.

Reports can also be provided for insurance purposes, home buyers surveys, safety, woodland management, and auditing etc. In Conservation Areas, all trees are protected with T.P.O status and an application to the Local Authority has to be made in writing to works affecting the tree or root structure within the confines of the canopy. LBD can make independent applications and organise the subsequent reports and tree works or as part of a Planning Application. Where works to trees involves birds, bats or other wildlife which may be protected, we can advise on timing and mitigation measures etc. Detailed tree surveys are conducted by a trained Arboriculturalist or other suitably qualified staff.
