Ecology Assessments and Habitat Surveys
Landscape By Design (LBD) have completed various Ecological Surveys and Reports in support of Planning Applications and for long term management of sites with wildlife interest and bio-diversity aims. We co-ordinate experienced Ecologists to provide expert advice for the following components, many of which are required under existing legislation.

• Protected Species Surveys inc: Badgers, Bats, Birds, Doormice, Great Crested Newts, Otters, Reptiles, Water Voles.

To aid you we have provided a survey timetable (49 KB PDF) and indicated when mitigation works might be best carried out.
Together with field surveys, reports will be provided which will make reference to and include local searches for relevant information to provide a bespoke desk-top study for the sites immediate locality. This initial Phase 1 survey will also indicate whether there is a requirement for further detailed survey work to be carried out should Protected Species be found on site. LBD can also assist with the Ecological aspects of BREEAM and help to maximise credits and gain approval from National bodies in the case of protected species.
