Urban regeneration involves far more than just improving roads, buildings and landscapes. Landscape By Design works to foster a close relationship with local trusts and councils, interested business groups and individuals.
The company’s new joint venture, ‘Urban Green’ has a philosophy to cultivate a process of community engagement, which acts as a catalyst for sustainable development.
By incorporating community arts facilitators and environmental managers, it is hoped that Landscape by Design can offer an alternative approach to urban and community regeneration.

Overnight parking was a major problem on this site in Cannock and the approach to the main gates was bleak.
After:
After the consultation process, landscaping included: new drainage, road surfacing, kerbs, planting, turf, signage, fencing, bollards and a gated barrier.
Before:
On a major road frontage, these retail premises were in poor condition and had a poorly defined external space.
After:
Provision of a new car park and drainage system. Signage, lighting, fencing and extensive soft landscaping was used to create an identity for the site.
